- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F for 5 minutes.
- Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each piece into a 6-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
- In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine chicken, mozzarella, Parmesan, Alfredo sauce, spinach if using, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Spoon one quarter of the filling onto half of each dough circle, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edge.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the filling for a cheesier crust.
- Fold dough over filling to form a half-moon and press edges firmly to seal. Crimp edges with a fork for extra security.
- Lightly brush the tops of calzones with beaten egg, then drizzle or brush with olive oil.
- Place calzones in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overlapping.
- Air fry at 360°F for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Allow calzones to cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
